Finance & Leasing Association
Sector is an associate member of the Finance and Leasing Association (FLA). The association’s full members comprise a wide variety of finance related organisations. Senior Sector staff are actively involved in both the FLA’s Local Authority and NHS Forums.
The opportunity to participate within the association enables us to promote the interests of public sector organisations and influence policy. Recent examples of this are our involvement in the consultation exercise with HMRC in relation to the proposed changes to taxation, and our pro-active participation within the FLA sub committee responsible for introducing a significantly improved form of NHS Terms and Conditions of Leasing.
The association members make a significant contribution to investment in the economy, having provided £27.1 billion of new finance in 2006.
The associations main functions are to:
- Maintain appropriate relationships with government and organisations representing individual client sectors such as PASA and the Department of Health in relation to NHS issues;
- Analyse and respond to proposals for new legislation and regulations;
- Interact with other finance associations;
- Establish codes of conduct for members and the industry in general.
